Has "Innovation" Died?
Has the poor economy killed off innovation? It certainly seems that way.
There was a time not so long ago where my inbox would be overflowing with invitations to seminars and other events tied to the entire realm of innovation. I did a search of my trash and seminar folder and can not find anything related to innovation in the last 9 months.
I also remember when it was common to see the Director or Vice President of Innovation involved in market research projects that we were tasked with. I can?t recall the last time a person with this title was part of the market research process.
Though I thought that much of the offerings I saw in innovation were more rhetoric based than purposeful, the simple truth is that without innovation, businesses, much less the country, can not move forward. We need to ask the big questions, challenge the status quo, and develop products and services that leap us ahead of our competitors.
At Powerfeedback we will continue our commitment to innovation which gives us dramatic advantages over other qualitative and quantitative market research firms.
